Administrador de Bases de Datos SQL en una compañia de videojuegos con fama internanional.
Como administrador de bases de datos, te unirás a un equipo de ingeniería enfocado en ofrecer la mejor experiencia posible al cliente asegurando el tiempo de actividad, la escalabilidad y el rendimiento de nuestros productos. Con sistemas que necesitan ser altamente resilientes, de latencia extremadamente baja y escalables a grandes volúmenes, trabajarás con otros administradores de bases de datos, arquitectos y equipos de ingeniería de productos para mantener las cosas óptimas hoy, mientras te enfocas también en el estado futuro a medida que avanzamos hacia un panorama altamente automatizado y dirigido por servicios.
Lo que harás:
- Trabajar dentro de un equipo central de DBA interactuando con un equipo de desarrollo asignado.
- Tareas tradicionales de administración de MS SQL Server que incluyen copias de seguridad, mantenimiento de grupos de disponibilidad, actualizaciones de versión, problemas de conectividad y gestión de infraestructura.
- Optimización preventiva de T-SQL, identificando y afinando consultas de alto consumo mediante un monitoreo exhaustivo del rendimiento de las consultas.
- Particionamiento y gestión del tamaño de las bases de datos.
- Revisión de código T-SQL para un equipo de desarrollo asignado, así como apoyo a los desarrolladores en el diseño eficiente de bases de datos.
- Desarrollo y mantenimiento de estrategias de archivado de datos, extracción e inserción usando T-SQL y/o Azure Data Factory.
- Automatización de código e infraestructura utilizando PowerShell, Terraform y Azure DevOps.
- Migración y creación de servicios de bases de datos gestionados como Azure SQL Database y Azure SQL Managed Instances.
- Participación en una lista de soporte de guardia.
Esencial para el rol:
- Experiencia como administrador de bases de datos de MS SQL Server.
- Experiencia en afinación de rendimiento y optimización de T-SQL.
- Experiencia con bases de datos de alto volumen de transacciones.
- Fuertes habilidades interpersonales y capacidad para trabajar con una amplia gama de interesados hasta el nivel C.
- Un solucionador de problemas natural con excelentes habilidades de organización y priorización.
- Experiencia tomando decisiones en un entorno de alta presión.
- Excelentes habilidades de comunicación verbal y escrita.
- Título universitario o equivalente en términos de conocimientos y experiencia.
- Deseable:
- Experiencia en ingeniería de datos.
- Experiencia en Microsoft Azure.
- Se considera un activo la experiencia con cualquiera de los siguientes: Azure SQL, Azure Data Factory, MongoDB, MySQL, Terraform, Databricks, Azure Data Lake Storage.

As a database administrator, you will join an engineering team focused on delivering the best possible customer experience by ensuring our products' uptime, scalability, and performance. With systems that need to be highly resilient, extremely low latency, and scalable to massive volumes, you will work with other database administrators, architects, and product engineering teams to keep things optimal for today while also focusing on the future state as we move towards a highly automated and service-driven landscape.
What you will do:
Work within a central DBA team while interacting with an assigned development team.
Traditional MS SQL Server administration tasks include backups, maintaining availability groups, version upgrades, connectivity issues, and infrastructure management.
Preventive optimization of T-SQL, identifying and tuning high-consumption queries through comprehensive query performance monitoring.
Database partitioning and size management.
Reviewing T-SQL code for an assigned development team, as well as supporting developers in the efficient design of databases.
Developing and maintaining data archiving strategies, extraction, and insertion using T-SQL and/or Azure Data Factory.
Automating code and infrastructure using PowerShell, Terraform, and Azure DevOps.
Migration and creation of managed database services like Azure SQL Database and Azure SQL Managed Instances.
Participation in an on-call support roster.
What is essential for the role:
Experience as an MS SQL Server database administrator.
Experience in performance tuning and T-SQL optimization.
Experience with high-volume transaction databases.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with a wide range of stakeholders up to the C-level.
A natural problem solver with excellent organizational and prioritization skills.
Experience making decisions in a high-pressure environment.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
University degree or equivalent in terms of knowledge and experience.
Desirable:
Data engineering experience.
Experience in Microsoft Azure.
Experience with any of the following is considered an asset: Azure SQL, Azure Data Factory, MongoDB, MySQL, Terraform, Databricks, Azure Data Lake Storage.
