Computer Technician - Production Department - Onsite
AdvoTek Recruitment is sourcing a Computer Technician for the Production Department at our trusted client partner, an Industrial Computing leader. This is a contract opportunity for four months + with the chance to move to Full Time and targeted for an end of November start date.

Our client is offering a competitive package for an experienced Computer Technician to assemble, build, and apply all appropriate tests to industrial computers, which the client manufactures, sells, and services.
The role will involve work 100% onsite in Cambridge, Ontario, closely observing COVID distancing and provincial policies. You will work with the Production Team reporting to the Production Manager, building best-of-breed computers and tablets for enterprise clients in the gaming and wagering industry, healthcare, defense, and automation.
Daily Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Assemble and build various computers and tablets in a manufacturing environment
Comply with ISO Traceability ISO9001:2015
Configure and setup RAID, BIOS, and other advanced options
Install and configure operating systems, Windows & Linux
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair computers and peripherals
Provide quality control and quality assurance to all products and services
Provide open, sincere, and honest input and feedback on continuous improvement matters to the production supervisor or other management team members in A Industrial Computing leader.

- Strong technical aptitude in diagnosing and testing for problems and issues to find the fault and provide a repair solution.

- Extensive use of assembly tools, screwdrivers, etc. on an ongoing basis
- Extensive technical knowledge of Windows operating systems
- Troubleshooting and analytical decision-making skills
- Ability to work on your own and as a team member

The Senior Data Architect will work with the Digital Innovation and Data Analytics team, alongside various stakeholders, to understand unique data sources and build Azure data pipelines for different analytical use cases. The role assumes the responsibility for technical aspects of solution delivery, from inception through design to implementation.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with various stakeholders to understand complex data sources and design end-to-end data solutions that fuel analytical use cases. Lead the design and implementation of data architecture, integration, and governance strategies.
Provide technical guidance on data cloud infrastructure within the Azure environment, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance. Craft comprehensive solution architecture documents, articulating solution attributes and their associated benefits.
Stay informed of emerging technologies that enhance our data solution capabilities for customers, including implementing AI applications.
Assist in identifying and recommending technology solutions, upgrades, replacements, and enhancements to drive productivity.
Requirements
A Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
Five years of prior data architecture and engineering experience, with at least three years dedicated to developing Azure-related data infrastructure. Strong expertise in Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure Data Lake, Azure Data Warehouse storage, and related technologies.
Hands-on proficiency in crafting and developing ETL processes and automation using Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, or similar tools. Proficiency in Python and Spark, enabling you to create robust data solutions and processes.
Familiarity
Familiarity with data governance practices, including Azure Active Directory, Azure Policy, and data marts. Knowledge of Azure networking concepts, including private endpoints and firewalls
