Service Operations SME - £100,000 pa
My client, a leading financial institution based in Canary Wharf, is currently looking to recruit a Service Operations, ITIL SME. This is a hybrid role, with 2/3 days working on-site.
The prime responsibilities for this role are:
- Provide Service Operations processes and functions that meet the changing and developing needs of my client's business.

SOC Manager
SOC Manager required urgently for my client, a leading bank based in Canary Wharf. This is an initial 3 year fixed term contract paying circa £100,000pa gross plus superb benefits. This is a hybrid role which requires 2 days a week onsite.
The IT Security Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the overall day-to-day operations of the Banks IT security function including the management of Security operations provided by the selected outsource provider.
The role will work with the outsource provider to safeguard the Bank from intrusion, security threats, security weaknesses, software bugs and exploits, and will have responsibility for the IT Security management processes ensuring the ongoing security of the Banks data and resources. This role is my client's representative for all operational security items.
The role sits within the IT Security team within Infrastructure and Operations. Though the primary focus of the role is IT security, the role also works closely with, the Operational Risk and Information Security team.
Accountabilities & Responsibilities
- Responsible for IT Security Incident response, including the definition of my client's policy and process.
- Management of the IT Security service providers, vendors, and consultants to ensure key objectives and deliverables are met in an efficient manner
- Manage the interaction between the Managed Security Service Provider and the Infrastructure Service Provider
- Development of clear and concise operational reporting suitable to be presented to Senior IT Management. This includes submissions of regular Key Risk Indicator reports that can be used to prioritise IT Security activities,
- Coordinate responses to Internal Audit recommendations to ensure that audit observations related to IT Security are appropriately managed.
- Coordinate vulnerability assessment and penetration testing as well as managing the associated remediation activities.
- Work with suppliers to perform due diligence and security assessments of third party IT services and Cloud Service Providers to ensure IT Security is adequately addressed.
- Oversee and manage the relevant change/incident/problem/etc processes applicable for each Security service and making sure IT processes are followed
- Ensures security incidents are logged, escalated and responded in line with SLAs defined for Security Operations Centre services
- Monitors Security Operations Centre service provider and identifies any areas of improvements by producing relevant KPIs and metrics. Report with recommendations on how to improve services to Senior IT Management
- Provide the initial point of contact for cyber related incidents and ensure appropriate escalation as and when required
- Attend Security Operations Centre service review meetings with the service provider
- Build and maintain a positive working relationship with the service provider
- Managing the day-to-day Security operations function provided by the outsource provider through daily calls and regular communications
- Responsible for working with the Infrastructure and Operations technical teams responsible for the support and maintenance of all security related Infrastructure and applications.
- Oversight, planning and execution of any required vulnerability audits, penetration tests or forensic IT audits or related investigations.
- Ensure findings are discussed with the Associate Director, IT Security and are fed into projects improving the banks overall IT Security.
- Liaison with senior level directors and other key stakeholders plus managers, analysts, and other IT Security risk-assessment professionals.
Knowledge/experience
Detailed working knowledge of ITIL framework and Business Continuity practices.
- Proven ability to accurately take decisive action based on available information in a timely manner
- In-depth knowledge of technical security solutions covering areas such as data leakage prevention, Security Information and Event Management, anti-malware, vulnerability management, threat assessment, encryption, Public Key Infrastructure, and cloud computing.
- Experience coordinating and supporting incident handling and remediation
- Extensive experience in IT Security Operations
- Relevant experience in the Financial Services sector.
- Broad understanding of corporate IT infrastructures and technologies.
- Experience of successfully working under pressure to challenging deadlines.
- You will need to be organised, efficient and able to work unsupervised under their own
- Experienced in leveraging core security and infrastructure technologies during investigations like firewall logs, network security tools, malware detonation devices, proxies, or IPS/IDS
- Proven ability to analyse and identify common application and network based attacks
- Practical experience of computer operating systems such as MS Windows, UNIX/Linux
- Ability to quickly get to the root cause of issues
Technical skills:
- Experience of ServiceNow.
- Desired knowledge of of Firewall Technologies, End Point protection , Malware Protection.
- Experience of Data Loss Prevention and Security Information and Event Management tools.
- Good working knowledge and understanding of (with particular emphasis on IT Security aspects) in the following areas: server virtualisation, VMware, Microsoft W2K8, W2K12 & W2K16, Windows 7 & 10, HP UX, RedHat Linux and Oracle, NetApp storage consolidation, Cisco Networking
- Ability to operate sensitively and effectively in a multicultural environment.

- Significant experience within blue-chip Financial Services organisations, preferably Asset or Wealth Managers or Insurance sectors
- Experience of projects engaged on Target Operating Model, business processes and/or IT solutions in some of the following areas: Distribution, CRM, Portfolio management & Risk management, Middle & Back Office processes and outsourcing
- Demonstrable proficiency in relationship development and client account management
- A network of executive contacts across the industry and proven experience of Business Development

Sales Executive (Inbound/Outbound) required urgently for a leading UK based security company who provide specialist security services to private and corporate clients. Our brand, is a registered trademark and has made tremendous strides in delivering a high quality service. As a result, we are now operational in numerous countries including Canada, Australia, the UAE and the UK.
We are looking for someone to join our team as a dedicated sales person to deal with incoming enquiries and maximise work opportunities for our operatives. We have a dual phase sales process with all new team members starting at phase two in the hope to progress to phase one once the relevant skills and dedication have been demonstrated. With offices in various time zones, we are looking for someone who is very flexible with their availability. My client, a leading bank based in Canary Wharf is currently looking for an Infrastructure Manager with strong Agile experience. This is a hybrid role, with the expectation that you are onsite 2-3 days a week in Canary Wharf. My client is paying up to £95,000pa with superb benefits. This is a three year fixed term contract.
The ideal candidate will have the following:
- Extensive infrastructure management experience including managing teams, managed service providers and professional service organisations
- Comfortable managing resourcing requirements (supply and demand)
- A good grasp of infrastructure engineering principles, formerly from a technical background
- Relevant, current experience of managing modern data centre and cloud based platforms aligned with industry good practice. Ideally certified
- Experience working in an ITIL governed environment, ideally certified
- Familiarity of working with Agile software development teams, ensuring that infrastructure enhances velocity rather than introduces inertia
- A strong understanding of IT security, service continuity, audit, risk and compliance. Capable of aligning with suitable controls and monitoring effectiveness
- Driven to ensure wherever possible technology is automated and appropriately quality assured with the aim of removing waste
- A persuasive communicator who can engage across levels of seniority and technical capability

SAP Architect
My client, a leading bank based in Canary Wharf is currently recruiting for a SAP Architect to join them on a three - years fixed term contract. The role is hybrid in nature and would require 2-3 days a week working onsite. The salary is the equivalent of £100,000pa with fantastic benefits.
My client is currently has 9 on-premise SAP systems with their associated technology solutions. This estate will be transformed over the coming years based on my client's business transformation plans and SAPs deprecation roadmap.
This role will play a pivotal role in assessing the as-is architecture, defining the target architecture, advising on the roadmap and provide technical guidance for the duration of the transformation. In parallel, opportunities for the technical debt remediation need to be identified to smooth the transformation. During this period business value will continue being delivered by existing teams and SAP architect will be accountable for the technical soundness of the solution during and after transformation.
Deep technical knowledge of at least on SAP application (preferably SAP ECC v 6) is required. Experience in SAP migration / transformation is highly desirable, preferably to S4HANA.
Education and Qualifications
- Bachelors degree. Masters preferred or equivalent experience in the area of expertise
- Qualification in Enterprise or Solution Architecture.
