Business Development Manager
IT Re-Seller Business Development Manager
Location: London (although highly experienced candidates could be in other areas)
Salary: £30-40,000 basic with uncapped OTE £140,000
Me: Why would someone take a sales job with your company and not one of your competitors?
Sales Director: Because they'll earn more money working for us
Normally when I ask this question of a potential employer, the response is along the lines of great culture, more opportunities for personal development etc etc. But the sales director for this company (who I have known for a number of years) gave me a refreshingly honest and straightforward answer!
So there you have it, if you have 2-3 years of IT new business sales experience and are not afraid of hard work, you'll earn a lot of money.
The base salary probably isn't the highest in the industry, but the commission structure is very generous and several members of the team earn close to £200,000 pa.
And just to add, the culture is great and there are plenty of opportunities for personal development!
HERES WHAT YOULL NEED:
- 2/3 years+ IT New Business sales experience.
- A demonstrable track record of sales and target achievements.
- A good understanding of the UK IT Channel and IT Distributor network and model.

Senior Manager - Channel Partnerships
Senior Channel Partnerships Manager
Location: UK with access to London
Industry: Data Centre or related sectors
Salary: £100,000 basic - £150,000 OTE Directorship/equity opportunities
Timing. Making the perfect career move is about joining an organisation just at the point where their continued success requires exactly what you can bring to them. You get to turn up on your white charger using your skills and experience to fast forward them to the next level, and in doing so become an integral part of the company.
For most big corporates this point has long gone, you cant really arrive and make a significant impact. The alternative is working for a small start-up, who offer such opportunity but with high risk & low remuneration.
However, if you are currently running a successful partnership/channel programme in the technology sector and would like to be a director within two years, with potential for equity. congratulations, your timing is perfect :-)
Joining this well funded data centre organisation you will help them build out their channel/partnership model, working alongside one of the best management teams in the industry. They are looking to work with key strategic pan-European, US and national partners to achieve a successful indirect route to market.
Ideally you will have worked in the Data Centre or related industries with an understanding of the technology stack & know the market players.
If you are familiar with Systems Integrators and/or have experience in the US agent model that would be icing on the cake.
The role is hybrid, with one or two days per week spent with the team in the London offices. Some pan-European & US travel will be required. There is a clear path to director level, with no-one currently in the position.
HERES WHAT YOULL NEED:
- Experience in a consultative led senior sales role specifically in either Technology, telco or related industry sales, and in working in an indirect go-to-market model
- Knowledge of the Data Centre, Networking and the Edge Computing marketplace would be highly advantageous
- Experience in managing partners with demonstrable skills in growing business via an indirect model.
- Knowledge of the cultural differences in the European marketplace and exposure or experience of the US agent model
- Proven track record of driving and implementing strategic partner development plans
- Within a partner eco-system: Experience at executing a sales closure plan for opportunities and in qualification of opportunities

How would you like to work for one of Kents leading IT Companies looking after their existing clients?
You dont have to be particularly technical, but do need to be confident, great at building relationships with clients and have account management/customer service experience.

Service Desk Manager
Role Service Desk Supervisor
Location - Maidstone
Salary - £32,000 to £36,000
As a rule, I find technical people prefer to focus on the tech rather than manage people, which is completely understandable.
But I've been tasked with finding that rare beast who has a technical background, yet enjoys the challenges and rewards that come from managing/supporting/training/inspiring a team of people.
The good news is that this Maidstone based IT Support/Managed Services Company see themselves as a Customer Service Company who does Tech rather than the usual Tech Company who have to deal with people (this doesn't mean that they are less technical).
So if you are genuinely focused on working with your colleagues to give your clients the best experience, this is the company for you.
Led by an exceptional senior management team, they have seen continuous growth for the last 10 years and continue to delight their clients with a wide range of technical offerings.
You would help them to continue and expand on their success, using your technical knowledge but more importantly, leadership skills to become a central figure in the organisation. As well as planning, organising and directing the Service Desk Team, you will help identify trends and make recommendations for service improvements.
HERES WHAT YOULL NEED:
- Experience of leading a service desk team
- Technical expertise to 2nd Line or higher
- To live in commutable distance of Maidstone
