We collaborate with a range of external organizations on ecological partnerships and engage the public on these projects.
Funded primarily by donations from the public, corporations and foundations, our organization is expanding its activities and increasing its fundraising efforts. We are seeking a Head of Marketing and Fundraising with extensive experience in advertising, and marketing communications in the corporate world, and ideally as well with fund-raising in the NGO sector.
Job Description
The Head of Marketing and Fundraising is a key advocate for our organization. This senior management role is responsible for raising awareness, building relationships, and inspiring trust to facilitate fundraising opportunities. Fundraising and marketing are two sides of the same coin and the ideal candidate is an expert in fundraising and marketing communications, with a robust background in branding, customer relationship building, project management, and a deep passion for nature conservation. The Head of Marketing and Fundraising will lead a team and will be member of the Management Team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement and direct the organization's strategy for communication and branding related to conservation, emphasizing fundraising and community outreach.
- Supervise marketing communications, covering public relations, advertising, website management, electronic communications, and social media platforms.
- Further enhance electronic DM campaigns
- Strengthen the brand and ensure consistency and compliance with brand image across all communication channels.
- Create and implement strategies to manage and develop department staff, fostering their growth and ensuring high performance.
- Lead fundraising initiatives aimed at high net-worth individuals and foundations.
- Locate and apply for government and community grants or subsidies to support ongoing and new projects and programs.
- Secure sponsorships and donations from the business sector for projects by promoting and selling volunteer opportunities, habitat restoration activities, corporate programs, and key events.
- Plan, execute, and manage a donation programmes and corporate sponsorships.

- Stay updated on the latest developments in TCFD and TNFD frameworks, strategize and implement nature-based solutions (NbS), and monetize these initiatives.
- Work with other departments to identify, recommend, and assist in increasing alternative revenue streams and enhancing visitor experience.
- Serve as an integral member of the Management Team.
- Supervise departmental staff and manage a medium-sized team.
- Provide effective leadership and people management, including performance evaluation, mentoring, and professional development, to ensure a motivated and high-performing team.

Job Requirements
- Bachelors degree in business administration or related fields.
- Up to 10 years of experience in marketing or fundraising. Experience in both corporate as in a non-governmental organization is preferred.
- Excellent language and communication skills in English and Cantonese.
- Strong interpersonal and relational skills, with a proven history of effective people management and team leadership.
- Strong fundraising abilities, including identifying and cultivating potential donors and managing fundraising programs.

Key Accountabilities
- Ensure the floor meets and exceeds the company's standards and targets
- Coordinate, supervise and oversee the planning, organizing, and delegating of work among team
- Coach and develop a strong sales team with a passion for delivering a sense of pleasure to all our customers. Lead by example, achieving at least 70% of your time on the sales floor coaching, mentoring and developing your team.
- Complete and deliver monthly 1 to 1 reviews in line with Company Objectives, Vision and Values, using this time to set and review individual objectives.
- Communicate effectively and relay all appropriate developments on the floor to team members
- Demonstrate high levels of planning, organising, and time management to drive the operational execution across the department.
- Oversee and ensure (alongside VM) that all visual merchandising standards are executed and adhered to in order to ensure a superior customer and brand experience.

- Profit: focussing on continually driving down our wastage and markdown numbers by working on a stock loss plan to reduce stockloss across the store to ultimately drive Margin and store Contribution. Dump SKUs, transfers, write offs, RTVs to all be managed consistently,
- Food Specific: continually strive to deliver a great compliance audit result driving Food Safety standards, Due Diligence and Hygiene in line with company standards
- Ensure Health & Safety standards are adhered to at all times
- Manage Customer Complaints and customer feedback and take action accordingly
- RTWs completed in a timely manner
- Seek ongoing feedback from line managers, peers and team. Feedback from senior management/regular floor walks
