Dorm Move-In Assistant

Location: Nestled in the bustling heart of Center City Philadelphia, our location is easily accessible by public transportation, making your commute as simple as can be.
What You'll Be Doing:
As a pivotal part of our move-in team, your role will be to manage traffic control. Stationed conveniently on the curb, you'll greet students and parents and hand out parking passes for their move-in/out process. Your responsibilities are clear-cut: keep the flow of traffic smooth, assist with parking guidance, and make move-in day a breeze for everyone involved!
Dress Code:
- Preferred attire includes blue jeans (without holes and must stay on the waist) or blue shorts.
- Acceptable alternatives: golf shorts or any type of nice shorts if blue is not available.
- Unfortunately, sweatpants or basketball shorts won't make the cut.
We Provide:
- Official shirts (collected at the end of each shift)
- A reminder to wear comfortable shoes since you'll be on your feet all day ensuring everything runs smoothly
Work Schedule:
- Full Days Required: 7 AM - 6 PM
- Dates: August 19, 20, 21 Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday; September 14 and 15 - Saturday and Sunday
- September 20 and 21 - Friday and Saturday
Rate of Pay: $15 per hour

- Someone who can commit to the full shifts on the designated days

- PA Criminal Clearance: Obtainable within the past year at epatch.pa.gov.
- Physical Examination: Must be completed within the past 6 months.
- PPD or Quantiferon Test: Required to be current within 1 year.
- Minimum Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
- CPR and First Aid Certification: Must be up-to-date.
- COVID-19 Vaccination: Required, unless a religious exemption is provided

- Experience: Previous experience in a similar mental health support role.

- Conduct monitoring and supervision to ensure the safety and well-being of residents.

Summary:

Essential Duties and Functions:
Direct Patient Care:
- Prepare the environment for patient visits, ensuring all necessary equipment and information is available for efficient care.

- Conduct vital signs, EKGs, eye and hearing exams, and related tasks as assigned.
- Ensure all documentation is accurate and complete.
- Assist the CRNP in providing comprehensive care.
- Manage medical records and perform inventory control tasks.
- Conduct rapid HIV tests and handle related paperwork.
- Assist with therapeutic procedures, medication administration, and specimen collection.
Indirect Patient Care:
- Prepare patient visit forms and handle referrals, which may involve obtaining insurance authorizations, coordinating transportation, and notifying patients upon completion.
- Manage requests for medication refills as assigned.
General Laboratory Services:
- Perform standard lab tests and manage laboratory specimens to ensure accurate handling.
- Maintain and operate laboratory equipment, ordering supplies as needed.
Triage:
- Assist the clinical team in collecting information for triaging patients.
General:
- Consistently practice universal precautions and participate in relevant practice committees.
- Substitute for Medical Assistants in other practices or perform Medical Receptionist duties as necessary.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED required.
- Current Medical Assistant Certification in the Commonwealth of PA.
- Proficient in computer usage, particularly with Word Processing and EMR systems.
- Outstanding organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks.
- Team player with a responsible, reliable, courteous demeanor.
