Hybrid position
The following are the primary job duties and responsibilities of the staff accountant position.
- Manages the accounts payable functions which mainly consists of vendors, invoice, and payments management regarding the company's financial commitments.
- Recognizes daily cash transactions in the general ledger.
- Supports the accounts receivable functions by registering and sending invoices to clients that are not part of the monthly close.
- Recognizes and monitors the recurrent expenses and accruals.
- Performs monthly reconciliations for expense accrual accounts and the accounts payable aging.
- Assists in some yearly tax procedures, such as, the vendor informative (480s) preparation.
- Assists in the yearly audit procedures by compiling audit evidence for auditors.
- Assists with other accounting projects as they may arise.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in accounting
- 1+ years experience in the field
- Experience with accounting software; Sage Intacct experience is a plus
- Excellent organizational skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills

Óptima Seguros es un asegurador de propiedad y contingencias que fue creado y autorizado a operar en Puerto Rico en el año 2004. Inicialmente comenzó a suscribir seguros bajo el nombre Óptima Insurance Company. En el año 2012 QBE, un asegurador con operaciones globales con sede en Australia, adquiere la aseguradora y posteriormente, le cambian el nombre a QBE Seguros.
Propósito: Inspeccionar y proporcionar recomendaciones de manejo de riesgos para reducir la frecuencia y severidad de las pérdidas. Asistir al departamento de suscripción en la evaluación de una cuenta y al cliente en mejorar su manejo de riesgos.
Salario base: $50,000 + *dependiendo de la experiencia*
Funciones Esenciales:
- Identificar áreas de riesgos potenciales por medio de inspecciones, recomendar y dar seguimiento a un curso de acción para reducir la frecuencia y/o severidad de pérdida.
- Preparar reportes en formatos establecidos con fotos y recomendaciones.
- Asistir y realizar inspecciones de Termografía Infrarroja según requerido.
- Planificar y realizar evaluaciones aéreas como piloto remoto (PIC) de forma segura utilizando la nave aérea no tripulada corporativa (dron) según sea necesario.
- Reportar exposiciones y/o proveer seminarios a una variedad de audiencias.
- Mantenerse a la vanguardia de la tecnología y reglamentos aplicables a la prevención de pérdidas.
- Realizar valorizaciones de estructuras usando Corelogic / Marshall & Swift según sean requeridas.
- Cualquier otra tarea relacionada, según requerida por un supervisor.
Conocimientos:
- Bachillerato en Ingeniería, preferiblemente Civil
- Certificación de OSHA - 30 horas
- Dominio en sistemas computarizados WINDOWS,
MICROSOFT 365 y búsqueda de Información específica en la red.
Destrezas:
- Habilidad para trabajar en ambiente de
equipo. - Habilidad en relaciones interpersonales.
Habilidad para establecer prioridades y
trabajar bajo presión. - Destrezas de comunicación verbal y escrita.

Experiencia:
- Mínimo 5 años - Preferiblemente con experiencia en inspecciones de seguros.
- Preferiblemente con certificación de Ingeniero en Entrenamiento EIT y ser miembro activo del Colegio de Ingenieros y Agrimensores de Puerto Rico (CIAPR).
- Conocimiento básico o tener certificación en Termografía Infrarroja.
- Experiencia en uso de naves aéreas no tripuladas (dron) o tener la certificación FAA 14 CFR Part 107.

who will be responsible for daily accounts payable process, compiling
and reviewing financial information, preparing financial paperwork,
and maintaining records.
Responsibilities:
- Review and record invoices from vendors
- Monthly invoicing process making sure transactions are processed in a timely manner
- Prepare bank requests and wire information
- Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices
- Review and process expense reports from employees
- Maintain records of outstanding payables
- Maintain and understand the various general ledgers for the management companies
- Preparation of quarterly financial reports, bank reconciliations and other accounting functions

- Proofread, edit and fact-check contract documents for
accuracy and consistency. - Maintain content integrity of contracts under negotiation and manage version control.
