Responsibilities:
- Processing bank accounts on Pastel daily.
- Backup for debtor and creditor processing in Pastel.
- Reconciliation of bank accounts on Pastel.
- Credit card processing and reconciliation.
- Loading internet banking payments.
- Responsible for bank and credit card account entries in Pastel.
- Monthly trial balance check.
- Ensure no odd transaction on trial balance.
- Sign off on monthly supplier reconciliations.
- Monitor debit orders.
- Ensure debit orders have valid contracts.
- Intercompany loan accounts reconciliations.
- Creating new accounts in Pastel when required
- Petty cash entries on Pastel and monthly reconciliation of petty cash
- Confirmation of all new suppliers' bank accounts.
- Review Job costing on completed projects.
- Prepare quarterly project profitability on all closed projects.
- Running Job Costing and WIP calculations.
- Maintain fixed asset register.
- Check supplier invoice processing for accuracy.
- Project register to be checked weekly for update.
- Monitor that UCR register for exports are kept up to date.
- Cash flow.
- Insurance review.
- Suppliers register.
- Manage Suppliers Account.
- Assist and manage apex purchases.
Requirements:
- B. Comm degree
- Articles completed
- 5 years' experience
- Knowledge of financial accounting, VAT and IFRS
- Pastel Accounting experience

Senior Bookkeeper
Bookkeeper (Permanent, Full-Time)
Main Responsibilities: (including, but not limited to)
- Handle accounts receivable and payable efficiently and accurately.
- Prepare and process invoices using our company-designed general ledger system.
- Reconcile bank statements and review payroll records to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Record daily financial transactions and post data in the company system.
- Prepare and distribute periodic financial statements for management review.
- Manage petty cash and handle expense reports.
- Oversee stock control and conduct regular stock takes.
- Assist with HR matters, including employee records, contracts, and compliance.
- Ensure proper handling of cash and adherence to financial protocols.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (Grade 12).
- Fluent in English and Afrikaans, with exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Accounting Degree from an accredited institute.
- Minimum of 2 years' practical experience in bookkeeping and accounting.
- At least 2 years of hands-on experience in HR matters.
- Proficiency in using technology, especially MS Office applications.
- Experience in IQ Retail
- Must provide a valid Police Clearance certificate.
Additional Requirements:
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping.
- Solid understanding of financial regulations and compliance procedures.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multitask effectively.

Gymkhana Club Windhoek is recruiting for a Stable Manager to join the team, on an Independent Contractor capacity.
The Stable Manager coordinating and managing the general maintenance and upkeep of the existing premises, buildings and grounds through the workforce and maintain acceptable and safe standards as well as will be assisting with horse shows and clinics.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Management of workforce / grooms, including assistance to Management Committee with respect to general HR duties.
- The coordination of the maintenance and servicing of all mechanical and other equipment on a regular basis as to prevent unnecessary breakage and to manage wear and tear.
- Overseeing feeding of grass and food (to applicable horses) which shall include the management of off-loading of grass and food as well as the storage thereof.
- Obtaining quotes from suppliers for services / products and liaising with Management Committee for approval
- Assist with horse shows and clinics as per the instructions of the Management Committee.
- Crisis management of horses and members. Assist wherever possible in case of emergency.
- Reporting to the Management Committee and attend meetings for such purposes.
- Act in the best interest of the club and the Management Committee.
