Physician Services- Gastroenterologists
Elite Staffing Network is seeking a Gastroenterologist for the Central Arkansas Veterans Healthcare System in Little Rock, AR.
Contractor shall provide Board Certified /Board Eligible Gastroenterology Physician Services on site in accordance with the specifications contained herein to beneficiaries of the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) and the Central Arkansas Veterans Healthcare System.
Scope of Care: Contractors physician(s) (as appropriate and within scope of practice/privileging) shall be responsible for providing Gastroenterology care, including, but not limited to:
Clinic and Surgical Care: Contractor physician(s) shall provide clinical Gastroenterology services. Contractor physician(s) shall be present on time for any scheduled clinics/surgeries as documented by physical presence in the clinic or operating room at the scheduled start time.
Operative Services: Contractor physician(s) shall provide comprehensive clinical Gastroenterology services including the diagnosis and treatment of Gastroenterology disease and surgical procedures. Typical procedures include EGD, Colonoscopy, Endoscopic Ultrasound & ERCPs, but are not limited to the procedures indicated.
Licensure/Board Certification/Board Eligibility
License: The Contractors physician (s) assigned by the Contractor to perform the services covered by this contract shall have a current license to practice medicine in any State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States or the District of Columbia when services are performed onsite on VA property.
All licenses held by the key personnel working on this contract shall be full and unrestricted licenses. Contractors physician(s) who have current, full and unrestricted licenses in one or more states, but who have, or ever had, a license restricted, suspended, revoked, voluntarily revoked, voluntarily surrendered pending action or denied upon application will not be considered for the purposes of this contract.
Board Certification: All contractors physician(s) shall be Board Certified /Board Eligible by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM.org) and be currently certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) and ACLS or equivalent. All continuing education courses required for maintaining certification must always be kept up to date. Documentation verifying current certification shall be provided by the Contractor to the VA COR on an annual basis for each year of contract performance.
Schedule
Normal Business Hours 8:00am 4:30pm, Monday - Friday
Clinic Schedule: 8:00am 4:30pm, Monday Friday. Rotating weekends and holidays. Rotating weeks after normal working hours call coverage. 4:30pm 7am
Patients must be seen by a contractors physician(s) on-site at CAVHS in a timely manner in accordance with VA Rules and Regulations on clinic wait times and consult completion. Contractor shall notify the COR at least monthly about any obstacles to meeting this performance measure.
Contractors physician(s) shall be available and present in clinic during normal CAVHS clinic hours, which will be established, and may be revised, as deemed appropriate for patient care by the Chief of Staff. Currently, normal clinic hours are 8:00am 4:30pm. Monday Friday. Rotating weekends and holidays. Rotating weeks after normal working hours call coverage. 4:30pm 7am.
Clinic duties: Perform endoscopic procedures in GI lab, staffing and supervising GI fellows in endoscopy lab and inpatient consult service, supervising Fellows in gastroenterology clinic when required.
Clinical Poly Pharmacist
Elite Staffing Network is seeking a Full-Time Clinical Pharmacist - Poly Pharmacist to support Eisenhower Army Medical Center, Ft Gordon, GA.
Work Schedule:Sunday - Saturday, 8.5 hours between 6:30am and 7:00pm, including a half hour lunch break. (40 hours per week)Will be required to work weekends and holidays.
Core Clinical Poly Pharmacist Duties: The type of work may include, but is not limited to, the following: Perform a full range of pharmacist procedures.
Deliver comprehensive pharmaceutical services within the personnel, supply, and equipment capabilities of the facility.
Counsel patients regarding appropriate use of medications.
Review patient profiles at the time of dispensing in order to closely monitor medication therapy.
Ensure prescription directions for use, dose, medication interactions, therapeutic duplications or overlaps, allergy information, age specific dosage, and other pertinent data are appropriate for individual patients. Intervention with providers shall be made for noted discrepancy of above listed items.
Compound medications as required.
Ensure accuracy of all pharmaceutical products prepared or processed by technical staff.
Supervise inventory control of all pharmaceuticals in the pharmacy, especially scheduled pharmaceuticals, and ensure pharmacy security. Maintain appropriate records and security of all scheduled controlled substances according to applicable regulations.
Specific Administrative Clinical Poly Pharmacist Duties: Specific tasks associated with administrative duties beyond core tasks outlined in the Performance Work Statement (PWS) include:
Poly Pharmacist: Provide services in a clinical setting at Dwight David Eisenhower Army Medical Center and/or its satellite pharmacies located on Fort Gordon, Georgia. Performance shall be according to the requirements contained in this PWS, and the professional standards required by JCAHO and other professional healthcare and pharmacist associations. Major duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
(1) Development and participation in ambulatory care pharmacy practice sites through collaborative partnerships with the medical staff and by reviewing and monitoring outpatient medication regimens. (2) The ability to analyze patterns and trends to determine appropriate, effective and economical drug therapy management and when improvement in these areas can be identified; the ability to recommend
alternatives.
(3) Monitor response to prescribed regimens and progress, modifying dosages or methods and/or altering regimen without prior approval of physician (subject to post action review). Resolves problems related to the clinical, chemical and therapeutic applications of drugs, including biopharmaceutical effectiveness, utilization of new therapeutic agents and special formula and dosage requirements.
(4) Provide clinical pharmacy services to selected clinics, including drug therapy management, patient education, therapeutic drug monitoring, provide staff education, nursing in-services and solicited drug therapy consults.
Minimum Qualifications:
* Education: PharmD required. Residency training and/or board certification are preferred.
* Experience: One (1) year of professional pharmacy experience after graduation. Post-graduate experience as a clinical pharmacist required.
* Licensure: Active license to practice s a Pharmacist, any state.
* Life Support Certification: Possess a current AHA or ARC BLS Healthcare Provider certification.

Job Specific Details and Tasks: The duties for the HCW include but are not limited to the following:
- Prepare treatment areas for incoming patients.
- Administer complex, specialized supportive physiotherapy treatment in areas such as ultrasound, electrotherapy, and therapeutic hot/cold and therapeutic exercise in support of chiropractic treatments in the clinic in a safe and medically accepted manner as directed by the supervisor.
- Instruct and supervise patient exercise programs.

The CRNA is responsible for providing a complete range of anesthesia care for a diverse Veteran population including preoperative assessment, intraoperative anesthetic administration and monitoring, and post-anesthesia care, in compliance with national Joint Commission accreditation standards. The contracted CRNA is accountable to Chief CRNA or delegate to provide the most effective delivery of quality anesthetic care for a diverse Veteran population and broad range of situations throughout the medical center while meeting and exceeding compliance standards.
Routine Professional Duties: The CRNA: Translates the principles of anesthesia practice into appropriate patient care. Performs post-anesthetic management of patients to optimize the recovery from anesthesia and minimize pain. Requirements:
- Minimum two (2) years experience as a CRNA.
- Graduate of an accredited nurse anesthesia educational program approved by the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists (AANA) at the time the program was completed by the applicant.
- Current, full active and unrestricted licensure as a graduate professional nurse in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth (i.e., Puerto Rico) of the U.S. or in the District of Columbia.
TOUR OF DUTY: The contract resulting from this requirement shall provide maximum flexibility to the VA scheduling authority. MEDVAMC provides nurse anesthesia services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Scheduling requirements are according to the needs of the department. Contractors personnel shall be required to work any regular or irregular tour, with 8 hour, 10 hour and 12 hour tours, or a mixture thereof, typically being the any of the following based on patient care needs: 8 Hour Tour: Day 0645-1515; Evening 1100-1930; 10 Hour Tour: Day 0645-1715; Evening 1100-2130; 12 Hour Tour: Day 0645-1915; The contract nurse anesthetist may be required on any tour to stay extra time according to the schedule and patients needs.
