Job Summary
As a Senior Manager for Skilling & Livelihood Augmentation, you will lead Skilling and Livelihood team dedicated to facilitating sustainable development in communities through technology interventions. Org focuses on adapting and disseminating technology-based, innovative skills for rural communities, with a particular emphasis on women and youth. In this role, you will facilitate and intervene as required in creating and supporting individual or group enterprises for livelihood augmentation in rural communities, with a focus on gender empowerment. Your responsibilities will include leading the team with a purpose & vision, entrepreneurial vision, end to end program management & assistance, enable project implementation, stakeholder management, financial management, proposal writing, empower team members with knowledge and training and working closely with the Executive Director of Org.
High level job responsibilities
- Support and lead the team in delivering org's vision on livelihood augmentation through program conceptualization, proposal writing, and assisting in fund raising efforts.
- Collaborate and coordinate within the ecosystem to establish and maintain partnerships with external stakeholders, particularly governmental organizations, to strengthen Org's initiatives.
- Accomplish Program objectives by managing staff, planning, and evaluating program activities
- Accomplish program results by communicating job expectations, planning, monitoring, and appraising job results
- Establish strategic Centre goals by gathering important business, financial, and operations information.
- Define objectives, identify, and evaluate trends and options, chooses a course of action, and evaluate outcomes
- Accomplish all program objectives by forecasting requirements, preparing midterm / long term plan, analysing variances, and initiating corrective actions.
- Contribute to data-driven impact assessment by collecting and analysing relevant data and assist in preparing high-quality documentation and case studies.
- Stay updated on the latest developments in the development sector and contribute innovative ideas to enhance org's skilling and livelihood augmentation programs.
- Ability to navigate the fundraising landscape & contribute as required.
- Ability and proven experience in managing risk and funders.

Essential attributes
- Post-Graduation, preferably in the development sector, with a science/engineering/management graduate degree.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant project management experience, preferably working with rural communities and women.
- Strong leadership qualities, with the ability to manage and motivate teams effectively.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and Kannada and ability to communicate with people at different levels
- Solution Oriented and high degree of Accountability
- A deep passion for the development sector, with a strong commitment to making a positive impact in rural communities.
- Ethical and honest approach to work, with the ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- Willingness to travel to rural areas as required.

- Analyze data related to learning disabilities, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to derive insights that inform evidence-based policy recommendations.
- Strategy Development: Work closely with senior team members to contribute to the development of evidence-based interventions that will gain buy-in from governments and other ecosystem partners, to meet organizational goals and objectives. Plan, conduct, and facilitate policy consultation meetings with bureaucrats, industry partners, civil society leaders, and other DEI stakeholders. Support the team in creating the framework for the project implementation.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with State and Central Government officials, NGOs, and other relevant stakeholders to advocate for policy changes that enhance the inclusion of persons with learning disabilities. Collaborate with internal teams, including compliance, communications, and different project units, to align initiatives with project objectives
- Capacity Building & Content Creation: Support the development of models and capacity building modules for governments and other stakeholder in implementing inclusive and accessible policies and programmes, including implementation toolkits and technical assistance partnerships
- Documentation: Prepare clear and concise policy briefs, reports, and other documents to communicate research findings and recommendations to internal and external audiences. Capture learnings on success and failures, impact stories, lessons learned at regular intervals. Create knowledge products for internal and external facing documentation
- Proactively identify and execute additional activities to advance the organizations success and sustainability.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Bachelors Degree in any field such as Public Policy, Political Science, Development Studies, Economics, Liberal Arts, Law, etc. While Post Graduate degree is not mandatory, will be an advantage.
- 2 to 5 years of work experience. Knowledge of public policies, government regulations, and their implications on relevant sectors preferred.
- Proficient in use of technology, including but not limited to Microsoft 365.
