About the Medicaid Application Specialist Role
Our client specializing in healthcare and financial planning is looking for an exceptional Medicaid Application Specialist to join their team! This is a remote, full-time position where you will be responsible for managing the submission of Medicaid and long-term care applications and serving as a client advocate.
As an Medicaid Application Specialist, you will work under the supervision of the Application Team Manager, collaborating with team members to ensure a smooth and efficient application process. Your responsibilities will include processing applications, communicating with clients and government agencies, tracking application status, and advocating for clients during appeals.
In this role you will:
- Manage and process Medicaid and long-term care applications, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Communicate effectively with clients, team members, and government agencies.
- Track application status, providing timely updates and addressing inquiries.
- Research and stay informed about relevant regulations and eligibility requirements.
- Advocate for clients during appeals and ensure their needs are met throughout the application process.
You ideally have:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- 1-2 years of experience in a professional office setting or related field
- Working knowledge of Medicaid and/or long-term care applications
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proficient in Google Suite products and document management tools
Preferred Qualifications:
- Professional background in the Medicaid long-term care industry
- Hands-on case management experience
- Experience working in a fully remote environment, using cloud-based productivity tools
- Experience using a CRM or similar project management database

- 5+ years of experience developing custom SharePoint Online solutions, web parts, and sites.
- 3+ years of JavaScript Framework experience (React, Handlebars, Angular, Node.js, etc.).
- 3+ years of experience building solutions with Microsoft Power Platform.
- 2+ years of experience developing custom Microsoft solutions using UI elements (Fluent UI, Office UI Fabric).
- 2+ years of experience developing custom Microsoft solutions using integration points (Office Add-ins, SharePoint Framework, Actionable Messages).
- 3+ years of experience with REST API and Microsoft Graph.
- 3+ years of experience with developer tools (NPM, TypeScript, Yeoman, Webpack, Gulp).
- 3+ years of experience with PowerShell and SharePoint Online Management Shell.
