Traffic Light Operative
Traffic Light Operative, Watford, Salary starts at £25300 + Southern Waiting

The Role:
As a Traffic Light Operative (TLO), your main role will be installing, repairing, and removing temporary traffic lights. This tends to be working on behalf of their hire customers some of whom will be contracted for long-term works, while others will be working more reactively in response to things like emergency utilities works or road-traffic accidents. The nature of these emergency works means hours will vary. This can occasionally involve weekend work and night work.
Your main responsibilities include:
- Working on-site Traffic Management plans.
- Basic fault finding and resolution of company equipment.
- Signal maintenance and battery exchanges.
- Adhering to all company policies, procedures, and safe methods of working.
- You will promote a positive company image whilst at work, wearing company-branded PPE.
The operative roles are fast-paced and active. There certainly won't be a dull day! Applicants for the role should bear in mind that the batteries in the traffic lights weigh 23kg each, so there can be quite a lot of manual handling involved day-to-day. It's important to mention they continue to invest in EHSQ to ensure that the whole team works safely throughout and are ROSPA Gold winners.

- Experience and qualifications:
- A full UK driving license is essential as you will have a company van/truck, which will be taken home at night. A safe place to park is essential.
Desirable:
- A previous role in maintaining or operating temporary traffic systems.
- A previous electrical background would be beneficial.
You must have the right to work in Ireland, we will also complete a driving license background check on your initial call if selected.
Team Leader
Team Leader , Dudley , £14 - £15 per hour
Hours
- 06.00 - 17.00 Monday to Thursday
- 06.00 15.45 Friday.
The Role
My client is looking to add an experienced Team Leader to their site. This will assist the Manager and Assistant Manager with site operations, ensuring company policies and procedures compliance.
The Requirements
- Fork Lift Truck
- H&S Qualification i.e. IOSH Managing Safely
- Experience managing/working with a team of 10+, disciplinary, job reviews.
- Completing inspections, downtown reports etc.
The Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with Management Systems, Permits, and Environmental permissions.
- Identify and report plant maintenance needs to engineering.
- Maintain quality control and ensure products meet specifications.
- Ensure operatives follow company guidelines and complete paperwork accurately.
- Manage inventory for incoming and outgoing products.
- Oversee contractors and lead site processes.
