Platform Engineer
About Us
Were an online only direct to consumer fashion brand. We dont worry about Black Friday because were building that level of hype every other week.
The brand is inclusive, with a mission for everyone to feel great in what they wear.
The team is lean but driven, we believe success comes from constantly thinking up new ideas, experimenting, learning and pivoting.
About the Role
Weve just gotten rid of all our legacy tech. You will not be supporting ancient systems running on dusty servers.
Instead, were looking for someone who can connect different components of our platform together using the latest cloud technologies (AWS), ensuring these connections run as close to perfect as possible. But it is not just about integrations. You will be joining us at the start of a new journey as we build out advanced retail management systems.
This is a DevOps role, you support what you build, using CI/CT/CD and Infrastructure as Code to ensure resilience from the start.
As the in-house experts in technology, youll also be working with stakeholders across the business to help them solve their challenges and to help them identify areas for innovation.
About You
Youve had a successful software engineering career to this point, and youre looking for a new role with responsibility, one in which you make and live by your own decisions.
For you there is no standard day, you thrive on the unknown. You relish the chance to work in a dynamic environment where you can create real value for the company every day. New technologies are seen as a potential opportunity to learn, to innovate and to develop new ideas.
You are comfortable with serverless technologies and event flows, ideally within AWS. Ours are currently built using SST and Node (TypeScript), with some Python thrown in where needed, but were open to new ideas.
While you will help to design and follow team and department standards for change management, you also recognise when it is more appropriate to build a rapid prototype and when to professionalise these prototypes.
You see talking with and building strong relationships with people across the business as the best way to understand problems, find meaningful solutions and co-create value through innovation.
