System
Network Engineer
The Network Engineer provides support on matters relating to Joint Collective Training Branch (JCTB) networks, including connectivity states, device configuration and node deployments inclusive of other tasks as directed. The Network Engineer attends J76 meetings as required, and engages peer technical teams constructively.
System Administrator
The Systems Administrator works alongside peers of differing specialisation in the Systems Team. The role supports matters relating to administration of Joint Collective Training Branch (JCTB) services, hardware assets and user accounts and other duties as directed. The Systems Administrator attends diverse meetings, engages peer technical teams constructively and participates in exercise work routines.
Linux Administrator
The Linux Administrator is responsible for the systems design, configuration, documentation, operation and support of Linux systems managed by Joint Collective Training Branch (JCTB).
System Administrator
If you have not held a TSPV in the previous 12 months, you are not eligible for this role.
The ICT Administrator will exercise a key role, being accountable under broad direction to manage the technical administration and operation of a secure ICT system and associated applications. The ICT Administrator will support the team and contribute to technical investigations.
The ICT Administrator will support complex or sensitive projects that impact on outcomes for Defence in particular by managing the secure ICT system and managing associated ICT infrastructure uplift activities. The ICT Administrator will engage with stakeholders in the continual improvement of support for these outcomes.
The ICT Systems Administrator will support complex or sensitive projects that impact on outcomes for Defence. They will engage with stakeholders in the continual improvement of support for these outcomes. ICT Systems Administrator will provide support to following task, but not limited to.
1. Provide ICT support.
2. Day to day administration of secure ICT systems Development and maintenance of ICT process and Procedures.
3. Process ICT access requests
4. Establish new user profiles as per compartment briefs.
5. Participate in Investigation of ICT security incidents.
6. Conduct annual ICT configuration and security audit.
7. Ability to provide first/second level administration to VIP Defence clients.
8. Ability to administer a network database tool.
9. Ability to manage maintenance support for MFD fleet of hardware and software.
10. Must have in-depth understanding of ICT technology, security capabilities and relevant standards, including Information Security Manual (ISM), Defence Security Principles Framework (DSPF).
11. Support ICT Manager by providing high quality, consistent and accurate ICT advice to the branch.
Selection Criteria
1. A minimum of 5-8 years practical experience within their specialist area Mandatory
2. SME Specialist or related qualification Mandatory
3. SME Specialist or related qualification at undergraduate, postgraduate and/or masters level Desirable
4. Experience in Defence or large Government Department within the SME specialist area- Highly Desirable
5. Experience in Corporate environment within the SME specialist area Highly Desirable
6. Sound stakeholder management and communication skills Mandatory
7. Knowledge of the Commonwealths in-service applications Desirable
8. Minimal turnover of nominated personnel during the course of the Contract - Mandatory
9. Final cost not to exceed agreed cost during negotiation Highly Desirable
10. Knowledge sharing with ADF and APS members - Mandatory
