Eric Lemelson started Lemelson Vineyards with the intention of building something that would not only serve our consumers, but also the longevity of the pristine state that he calls home.
Lemelson is one of the oldest certified organic vineyard operations in the state and the oldest certified through Oregon Tilth.
With a gravity flow production process, we craft estate grown Pinot noir, Pinot gris, Chardonnay, and Riesling from some of the finest vineyards in the Willamette Valley.

Job Goal
- Help build on the current Lemelson Experience and drive wine allocation offers to those customers. Develop into lead liaison and coordinator for US Wholesale Distribution to improve volume and profitability in US wholesale channel.
- Manage and coordinate direct to consumer business by developing company into a hospitality leader within Oregon Wine Industry and coordinating with Wine club and E-commerce manager to drive traffic and sales.
General Management:
- Logistics support associated with wholesale and international sales.
- Administration of Wholesale and Director to Consumer Sales.
- Winery property related administration.
Job Details and Mechanics
Wholesale & National Brand Strategy & Sales (40%)
- Develop, implement, and manage annual sales plan, forecast and pricing/incentive strategies per each SKU.
- Represent the brands in key wholesale markets.
- Build, manage, and nurture strong and productive business relationships with key retail, restaurant, corporate and resort accounts.
- Develop and vet strategic ideas that promote Lemelson family goals for the wines and property: long term respectability, leaders in Willamette Valley, high quality producers.
- Build and work with key account base and other key markets.
- Embrace and execute brand building and brand protective measures.
- Ensure consistent pricing strategy through entire network.
- Improve brands mind share within the winery and the west coast primarily to improve natural pull through the market. (Develop marketing analysis and strategic marketing recommendations, including exploration of digital analytics).
- Tie wholesale marketing strategies with DTC marketing to ensure consistent and complimentary messaging across all channels.
Direct to Consumer Sales & Marketing (40%):
- Lemelson Vineyards Experience. Create the go-to luxury wine experience of the Lemelson property, building a book of business through marketing to the right traffic and capturing residuals sales from visitors through digital campaigns to a mailing list.
- Tasting Room Sales. Work with Tasting Room Manager/Wine Club Manager to enhance sales at our primary tasting room.
- Wine Club and other DTC Sales. Work with Tasting Room Manager/Wine Club Manager on vetting ideas for customer acquisition and retention.
- Social Media and Internet. Ensure that our social media and internet presence are highly effective and aligned with our desired image and brand positioning.
- Marketing / sales strategy and tactics. Develop marketing/sales tactics consistent with brand image, messaging, and long-term goals.
- Goal setting. Establish goals consistent with production realities per SKU and national/international brand goals.

MAINTENANCE MANAGER - Hall Wines/WALT Wines/BACA/Hall Group

The Maintenance Manager at Hall Family Wines will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of maintenance and repair operations within our winery and tasting room facilities. As a key member of our team and hands-on supervisor, you will ensure the efficient and effective operation of machinery, equipment, and infrastructure to support the production and safety standards of our winery. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, leadership capabilities, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and productive work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervision:
- Lead, train, and supervise a team of maintenance technicians, ensuring they perform their duties effectively and safely.
- Schedule and prioritize maintenance tasks to maximize efficiency and minimize downtime.
- Facilities and Equipment Maintenance:
- Conduct routine inspections of winery equipment, machinery, and facilities.
- Repair and maintain a variety of facilities systems, components, and structures; repairs building plumbing, low-voltage, and line voltage electric systems, door hardware, fire and life safety protection equipment/systems, irrigation systems, sensors and related hardware and software; maintains indoor/outdoor facilities, fans, lights and related; conducts structural inspections for safety.
- Perform repairs and preventative maintenance on a wide variety of buildings, facilities, equipment, and systems.
- Communicate regularly with production management concerning the status of equipment and facility systems.
- Complete daily and weekly checks of all systems and equipment.
- Monitoring, troubleshooting, and repair of glycol cooling and heating systems throughout winemaking and barrel aging spaces.
- Maintain 1.4 acres of solar panels.
- Perform preventative maintenance and coordinate repairs for Hospitality department and Tasting Room spaces.
- Troubleshooting:
- Diagnose and resolve equipment and machinery malfunctions promptly.
- Collaborate with relevant departments to identify and address maintenance-related issues affecting production and hospitality.
- Inventory Management:
- Maintain accurate records of spare parts, tools, and equipment inventory.
- Monitor and reorder supplies as needed to ensure uninterrupted operations.
- Safety Compliance:
- Work with the Safety Manager to enforce safety protocols and standards to minimize workplace accidents.
- Conduct safety training for maintenance staff and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Budget Management:
- Assist in developing and managing the maintenance department budget.
- Monitor expenses and seek cost-effective solutions to maintain equipment and facilities.
- Vendor Relations:
- Coordinate with external contractors and suppliers for specialized maintenance services or repairs.
- Procure multiple competitive quotes for specialized services and repairs.
- Negotiate contracts and ensure work is completed to the required standards.
- Documentation:
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation, including work orders, equipment manuals, and inspection reports.
- Generate reports on maintenance activities, equipment status, and budget expenditures.
- Oversee all storm and wastewater monitoring, compliance, and reporting.
- Oversee water quality testing and reporting for state water system compliance.
- CERS reporting, ARB reporting for DOORS and RMP.
- Other Duties:
- Provide support as needed to ensure seamless operation of all parts of the business.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or trade school certification or college degree preferred.
- 5+ years of facilities maintenance and winery system management experience in a medium or large winery required.
- Previous supervisory experience required.
- Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and repair machinery.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in maintenance.
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills; strong attention to detail.
- Proficiency in computer applications for maintenance management and record-keeping.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and communication platforms like Slack.
- Experience with CMMS software is a plus.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Valid CA drivers license (Class C) and ability to be covered by company insurance.
- Ability to work flexible hours and be on call for emergency maintenance situations.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 lbs).
- Ability to work in various environmental conditions, including indoor and outdoor settings.
