Lead Process Safety Engineer
We are looking for a LEAD PROCESS SAFETY ENGINEER who are currently residing in Singapore and is able to take on two years' contract.
Responsibilities
- Focal and subject matter expert for Process Safety and HSSE Engineering discipline in project management team for CAPEX projects and supervise FEED consultants, EPC contractors and Equipment vendors
- Prepare and issue Process Safety and HSSE Engineering basis of design, project specifications and scope of work for Feasibility Studies, FEED and EPC projects and relevant safety studies as required
- Review engineering consultants, EPC contractors, Equipment vendor proposals and evaluate their capabilities
- Review, validate and approve Process Safety and HSSE Engineering discipline and associated deliverables in CAPEX projects
- Review the documents required for Singapore regulatory approvals as required (e.g. FERA, QRA, Gas Safety Case, Security by Design) and support consultants/contractors for the authorities approval
- Consolidate HSSE action item register and coordinate with engineering and operation teams for closure of action points
- Coordinate with project management team, other engineering discipline, and operation teams for Process Safety and HSSE Engineering discipline and deliverables review
- Provide technical assistance and advice covering but not limited to safety management systems, process safety, firefighting, fire prevention, quantitative risk analysis and behavioural safety to ensure minimization of losses and prevention of fires
- Carry out process safety audit for LNG terminal
- Good understanding and knowledge of Function Safety as per IEC61511/61508
- Review as-built deliverables and ensure all approved as-built deliverables are uploaded in the document management system
- Ensure adherence to the Quality Management System established and adhere to the QA plans
- Ensure to adherence of HSSE Management System, establish and follow HSSE plans
Requirements
- Degree in Chemical Engineering
- At least 15 years engineering experience in oil and gas industry, with 5 years in the LNG industry
- At least consecutive 5 years engineering experience as a lead process safety and HSSE engineer in internationally reputable engineering and EPC companies in oil and gas industry
- Involved in 2 FEED or EPC detailed engineering experience in oil and gas industry from beginning until end of FEED or detailed engineering and engineering experience in both green field and brown field projects
- Hands-on engineering experience in process engineering safety and HSSE in FEED/EPC projects
- Familiar with both international and Local Codes & Standards and Singapore regulatory and permitting system
- Knowledge of process design for oil & gas or LNG terminal process and ability to influence designs to achieve optimal HSSE outcomes
- Managed HAZID, HAZOP, SIL, ALARP, LOPA, QRA, FERA, BIA, EIA, EBS, and other HSSE design studies and workshops
- Knowledge of process safety, HSSE and RAM study software such as but not limited to Phast, Safeti, Maros
- Experience in field engineering, equipment installation, construction or commissioning in LNG or LNG terminal project in owners engineering team will be an added advantage
- Willing to take on 2 years' contract.
Lead Instrument and Control Engineer
Connect Energy partners with an O&G company to look for a LEAD INSTRUMENT AND CONTROL ENGINEER to work on their upcoming LNG project in Singapore.
Responsibilities
- Focal for Instrument and Control discipline in project management team for CAPEX projects and supervise FEED consultants, EPC contractors and Equipment vendors
- Prepare and issue Instrument and Control basis of design, project specifications and scope of work for Feasibility Studies, FEED and EPC projects
- Carry out various adequacy checks, review engineering consultants, EPC contractors, Equipment vendor proposals and evaluate their capabilities
- Participate in process safety or other required studies and workshops as required
- Review, validate and approve Instrument and Control discipline and associated deliverables in CAPEX projects and develop such documents where required to support the project delivery internally or by consultant
- Review the documents required for Singapore regulatory approvals as required and support consultants/contractors for the authorities approval
- Coordinate with project management team, other discipline engineering, and operation teams for Instrument and Control discipline engineering and deliverables review
- Witness factory performance test (FAT) before equipment load out from vendor workshop
- Validate Engineering Database such as Smart Plant tools (SP3D, SPPID, SPI, etc) and ensure the accuracy of the database
- Review as-built deliverables and ensure all approved as-built deliverables are uploaded in the document management system
- Ensure adherence to the Quality Management System established and adhere to the QA plans
Requirements
- Degree in Instrument and Control Engineering
- At least 15 years engineering experience in oil and gas industries
- At least consecutive 5 years engineering experience as a lead Instrument and Control engineer in the internationally reputable EPC companies in oil and gas industries
- Involved in 2 FEED or EPC detailed engineering experience in oil and gas industry from beginning until end of FEED or detailed engineering and engineering experience in both green field and brown field projects
- Hands-on engineering experience in Instrument and Control engineering, vendor coordination, Process Control & Shutdown, DCS/SIS/FGS design, handling various telecoms systems design, engineering, solutioning, vendor documents reviews and site acceptance test in FEED/EPC projects
- Familiar with both international and Local Codes & Standards
- Knowledge of SP tools and SPPID, SPI and SP3D is essential
- Experience in field engineering, equipment installation, construction or commissioning in LNG or LNG terminal project in owners engineering team will be an added advantage
Senior Process Engineer
Connect Energy partners with an oil and gas engineering company to look for a SENIOR PROCESS ENGINEER to work in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia for 2 years contract.
Responsibilities:
- Focal and subject matter expert for process discipline in the engineering management team and to supervise FEED & EPC consultants.
- Performs all conventional aspects of process engineering.
- The candidate should be able to work as part of a team or show leadership capabilities managing areas or systems within projects.
- Must have experience and be proficient in developing heat and material balances using process simulation software such as Aspen HYSYS and process flow diagrams (PFDs).
- Experience in combustion process is highly advantages with piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs) development as well as experience generating fluid hydraulic calculations for line sizing and formulation of process data for in-line instruments and loads such as blowers, pumps, compressors, and turbines.

Senior Instrument and Controls Engineer
Connect Energy partners with an oil and gas engineering company to look for a SENIOR INSTRUMENT AND CONTROL ENGINEER to work in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia for 2 years contract.
Responsibilities:
- Focal and subject matter expert for Instrumentation & Control discipline in the engineering management team and supervise FEED consultants and instrumentation & control system vendors.
- ICSS package management, Technical Management of the ICSS package
- Preparation of ICSS deliverables such as Philosophy, Specification, Execution plan, IO list, Cause & Effect, Control Narrative, System architecture diagrams, Technical Bid Evaluation, etc.
- Review ICSS supplier documents
- Provide ICSS related inputs to other project team members
- Participate in HAZOP, LOPA, KOM, design reviews, Testing etc.
Requirements:
- Degree in Electronics or Control systems/Instrumentation Engineering
- At least 10-12 years engineering experience working on refineries, petrochemicals or oil and gas projects.
- At least consecutive 5 years engineering experience as a lead instrumentation & control engineer in internationally reputable engineering and EPC companies working on a refinery, petrochemical or oil and gas project.
- Involved in 2 FEED or EPC detailed engineering experience in in refinery, petrochemical or oil and gas project from beginning until end of FEED or detailed engineering in both green field and brown field projects.
- Hands-on engineering experience in startup and commissioning of refineries, petrochemicals or oil and gas projects.
- Must have thorough knowledge of ICSS (DCS, SIS and F&G) of at least two industry leading control system suppliers
- Possess good communication skills and leadership qualities
- Able to understand client & project requirements and meet the project expectations in terms of Quality and schedule
- Willing to take on a 2 year contract.
Senior Civil & Structural Engineer
Connect Energy partners with an engineering company in the oil and gas industry to look for a SENIOR CIVIL AND STRUCTURAL ENGINEER to work in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia for their upcoming project for 2 years.
Responsibilities
- Focal and subject matter expert for Civil and Structural discipline in the engineering management team and supervise FEED Consultants, EPC contractors and Material and Equipment vendors.
- Prepare and issue project specifications and scope of work for Feasibility Studies, FEED and EPC projects.
- Review engineering consultants, Equipment vendor proposals and evaluate their capabilities
- Review, validate and approve Civil & Structure discipline and associated deliverables
- Coordinate with project management team, other engineering disciplines, and operation teams for Civil & Structural discipline and deliverables review.

- At least consecutive 5 years engineering experience as a Lead Civil and Structural Engineer in internationally reputable engineering and EPC companies working on refineries, petrochemicals or oil and gas projects.
- Involved in 2 FEED or EPC detailed engineering experience in refineries, petrochemicals or oil and gas projects from beginning until end of FEED or detailed engineering and engineering experience in both greenfield and brownfield projects. Hands on engineering experience in Civil & Structure and design of process plant modules in FEED/EPC projects
- Familiar with both international and Local Codes & Standards
- Knowledge of Aveva E3D plant design software or equivalent and proficient in Civil & Structure design software such as but not limited to SACS & STAAD Pro.
- Experience in site construction will be an added advantage
- Willing to take on 2 years' contract.
Senior Mechanical and Piping Engineer

Responsibilities:
- Focal and subject matter expert for Piping and Layout discipline in engineering management team and supervise FEED consultants, EPC contractors and Material Equipment vendors.
- Prepare and issue Piping and Layout basis of design, project specifications and scope of work for Feasibility Studies, FEED and EPC projects.
- Review engineering consultants, EPC contractors, Material and Equipment vendor proposals and evaluate their capabilities.
- Review, validate and approve Piping and Layout discipline and associated deliverables.
- Coordinate with project management team, other engineering discipline, and operation teams for Piping and Layout Engineering discipline and deliverables review.

Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- At least 10-12 years engineering experience working on refineries, petrochemicals or on oil and gas projects.
- At least consecutive 5 years engineering experience as a lead piping/mechanical engineer in internationally reputable engineering and EPC companies on refineries, petrochemicals or oil and gas projects.
- Involved in 2 FEED or EPC detailed engineering experience on refineries, petrochemicals or oil and gas projects from beginning until end of FEED or detailed engineering and engineering experience in both green field and brown field projects.
- Hands-on engineering experience working on plot plans, layouts, pipe routing, 3D modelling, piping stress analysis, material selection in FEED/EPC projects.
- Familiar with both international and Local Codes & Standards
- Knowledge of Aveva E3D plant design software or equivalent and proficient in piping stress analysis and its software such as CAESAR II
- Experience in field piping engineering, construction or commissioning will be an added advantage.
- Willing to take on a 2 year contract.
