Registered Veterinary Nurse
Position: Registered Veterinary Nurse
Location: Fareham, England, United Kingdom
Contract Details: Full-time
Role Overview:
You will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to our patients. You will work closely with our team of veterinarians and support staff to ensure the well-being and comfort of our animal patients. Your duties will include assisting with surgeries and procedures, monitoring and administering medications, providing nursing care, and educating pet owners on proper animal care.
The position is based on an average 40-hour week with a 1 in 4 weekend shift pattern. Typical working hours will be:
- Monday Friday: shifts between 08h00 19h30
- Saturdays: 08h00 18h00
- Sundays: 10h00 16h00 (closed on Sundays)
Key Responsibilities:
- - Assist veterinarians with surgeries and procedures, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are prepared and ready
- - Monitor patients during and after procedures, recording vital signs and reporting any abnormalities to the veterinarian
- - Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the veterinarian
- - Provide nursing care to hospitalized and recovering patients, including wound care, bandage changes, and administering fluids
- - Educate pet owners on proper animal care, including nutrition, medication administration, and post-surgery care
- - Maintain accurate and thorough medical records for all patients
- - Assist with diagnostic procedures, such as x-rays and blood work
- - Keep the clinic clean and organized, including patient areas, treatment rooms, and surgical suite
- - Participate in continuing education and stay updated on industry advancements and best practices
- Qualifications and Skills:
- - Must be a Registered Veterinary Nurse with a valid license to practice in the UK
- - Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a Veterinary Nurse
- - Knowledge of veterinary medical terminology, procedures, and medications
- - Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- - Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- - Compassionate and empathetic towards animals and their owners
- - Proficient in computer skills and experience with veterinary software is preferred

Veterinary Surgeon

Join a large team with well-equipped sites. We have an exciting opportunity for a Roving Veterinary Surgeon to work within all the practices across their group.
As a Roving Veterinary Surgeon, you will have the opportunity to work within multiple practices and teams, have the opportunity to work in diverse environments and treat a wide variety of animal species as well as providing a higher degree of flexibility, exposure to unique cases, and the chance to build a broad skill set.
The Role
- Weekly hours between two and four days
- 40 hours per week
- Four full week days with one of those being an early finish
- No OOH

Veterinary Surgeon
We are currently on the look-out for an experience caring vet surgeon to become part of a 3-vet team at a small animal practice based in Bedfordshire.
Youll be joining a busy practice with a loyal client base that host a wide range of equipment including in-house lab, digital x-ray, new ultrasound machine, two theatres.
The Role
- The full-time position for this role would be 40 hours over the choice or 4 or 5 days between the hours of 8.30am 7pm
- No OOHs
- 1:4 Saturday morning 8.30-13.00
- Part time applications will also be considered

Veterinary Surgeon
We are looking for a Veterinary Surgeon capable of sole charge to join a small animal practice based in Northamptonshire, on a full or part-time basis!
They are a branch surgery so you would mostly be dealing with consultations and routine operations. You will have a qualified veterinary nurse and a receptionist working with you.
The Role
- Veterinary Surgeon full or part-time permanent position (flexible)
- Ideally working across 2 days per week Mondays & Tuesdays between the hours of 8:30am-6/7pm and 1:5 Saturday mornings
- This role will include 1:5 Saturday mornings
